BPSC's 72nd Combined Competitive Examination recruits about 1,186 officers for Bihar government services (SDM, DSP, Revenue Officer and more). The Prelims, first set for 26 July 2026, was postponed and is now tentatively on 25 October 2026 per the calendar of 14 August 2026.

BSSC's 4th Graduate Level recruitment (Advt. 05/2025) has 1,883 vacancies. The Prelims was slated for July–August 2026 but no date has been announced; BSSC is appointing a computer-based test agency.

Most state exams accept candidates from anywhere in India, but reservation and age relaxation are usually limited to the state's own domicile holders. Each notification states the rule for that exam.
