The Mains examination consists of written tests on various subjects including Hindi, English, General Studies, and Optional subjects based on the educational background of the candidate.
Detailed Mains pattern will be announced by BPSSC. Only candidates who qualify the Preliminary exam will be eligible for Mains.

Selection Process
Preliminary Examination
Computer-based objective type test to shortlist candidates for the Mains examination. This is a qualifying exam.
Mains Examination
Written examination with descriptive and objective questions. Marks obtained in Mains will be considered for final merit list.
Physical Efficiency Test (PET)
Candidates who qualify Mains will undergo physical tests including running, long jump, and high jump.
Document Verification
Final document verification including educational certificates, caste certificate (if applicable), and other relevant documents.
Salary & Benefits

Annual Package (excluding allowances)
As per 6th Pay Commission, the basic monthly salary starts at ₹35,400
